Some of my favorite organizations that are creating a better world for animals:
Center For Animal Protection and Education (CAPE)-
A wonderful organization that has been saving thousands of farm animals and rescuing dogs since 1992. They help animals In need and find loving homes or hospice care for those animals in need of extra special care.
They educate the public on all issues that animals face.
I proudly help them with transportation whenever I can.
Compassion Without Borders-
They drive up to 50 dogs at a time to their Muttopia facility in Santa Rosa from Mexico. They have been saving abandoned and homeless dogs since 2001. They also work with shelters in the California valley
saving dogs that desperately need care.
We adopted two of the many wonderful dogs they have saved.
Animal Place-
A sanctuary that has rescued farm animals since 1989. As one of the oldest and largest farm sanctuaries in the country they work hard to rescue farm animals from terrible conditions to better lives at the sanctuary or adoption.
Wildcare-
They save all injured wildlife, from birds to foxes, squirrels and skunks. Whenever we find an injured animal we know to call Wildcare for advice and help.
Marine Mammal Center-
Rescues and rehabilitates seals, sea lions and sea otters. They have wonderful programs aiming to educate all ages on the science and conservation of sea life.
Jane Goodall Institute-
Courageously dedicated her life to saving chimpanzees and speaking out
about climate change and how we can work together to create a better world.
PAWS-
Performing Animals Welfare Society. A sanctuary for animals were forced into performing or were part of the animal trade. They rescue elephants, tigers, bears, African lions and more to their incredible rolling hills sanctuary.
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust-
Saving orphaned baby elephants and rhinos in East Africa for over 40 years. Adopting a baby elephant and helping them with the cost of care
and eventual release into the wild means getting monthly updates and photos of the babies and watching them grow into independent, beautiful adult elephants.
World Wildlife Fund-
This global organization is working on ways to help solve the urgent problems created by climate change and its threats to animals and people.
They work through education within communities and through conservation efforts in the field with a science based philosophy to protect animals and nature.
